TechFlow reported from the "BUIDL 2025" crypto summit in Hong Kong, where Alvin Kan, COO of Web3 wallet Bitget Wallet, said during a panel discussion: "Crypto wallets have become the gateway to Web3 and established user stickiness, and will play a key role in PayFi and the payment narrative going forward." He believes that as more features are integrated, wallets are evolving into one-stop platforms and becoming increasingly important within the on-chain ecosystem.
Regarding current market trends, Alvin stated: "Compared to scalability, users are placing greater emphasis on specific use cases." He observed that certain public blockchains have seen higher adoption rates by meeting everyday needs such as transfers, indicating that practical applications may be more appealing to users than underlying technical performance.
