Bitget obtains El Salvador Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) license, completing dual-license compliance setup
Recently, El Salvador's National Commission for Digital Assets (CNAD) granted Bitget a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) license. Following the Bitcoin Service Provider (BSP) license obtained in 2024, Bitget has further expanded its compliance footprint in the country and become the third major global crypto exchange, after Binance and Bitfinex, to hold dual licenses. Holding both DASP and BSP licenses enables Bitget to legally offer a full range of digital asset services in El Salvador, including spot and derivatives trading, staking, and yield products. The new license also covers infrastructure-level offerings such as crypto savings and investment products, further enhancing user convenience and asset security in Web3 participation. Bitget Chief Legal Officer Hon Ng said: "We are committed to expanding our operations in jurisdictions with clear regulatory frameworks and delivering high-quality services to users. Receiving recognition from CNAD marks a significant step in Bitget's global compliance strategy. El Salvador’s forward-thinking and transparent approach to digital asset regulation is highly attractive to compliant Web3 businesses. Going forward, we will continue supporting markets with clear regulatory systems to promote the sound development of the crypto economy."
