TechFlow news, April 3 — According to Cointelegraph, EY, one of the Big Four accounting firms, announced the upgrade of its enterprise-grade Ethereum Layer 2 network Nightfall to a ZK-rollup architecture. The newly released Nightfall_4 source code simplifies the network architecture, enabling near-instant transaction finality on Ethereum while improving user accessibility.
Paul Brody, EY's Global Blockchain Leader, said that企业 customers' acceptance of privacy solutions has increased following the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) lifting sanctions on the cryptocurrency mixing service Tornado Cash. The new version abandons the optimistic rollup model, eliminating the need for users to wait through a challenge period—transactions are finalized immediately upon being included in a block.
