TechFlow reports that on March 21, Christine Kim, Head of Research at Galaxy, summarized the 153rd Ethereum Core Developers Consensus (ACDC) call. Developers reaffirmed the testing plan for the Pectra upgrade, with plans to implement it on the newly launched Hoodi testnet on March 26. They decided to postpone setting a mainnet activation date for Pectra until after the results from the Hoodi testnet upgrade are available.
The meeting also covered discussions on the historical data expiry proposal. Since the Pectra mainnet activation may be delayed beyond May, developers explored alternative strategies to advance historical data expiry but have not yet reached consensus, which will continue to be discussed in next week’s meeting.
In addition, developers shared updates on PeerDAS testing progress and discussed the possibility of including EIP-7688 (Forward-Compatible Consensus Data Structures) in the Fusaka upgrade. Meeting moderator Alex Stokes emphasized that no further consensus-layer EIPs for the Fusaka upgrade should be developed until client teams complete implementation of PeerDAS.
