TechFlow news, March 21 — According to CoinDesk, Paul Atkins, nominee for Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), is scheduled to attend a confirmation hearing before the Senate Banking Committee on March 27.
Atkins, a former SEC commissioner and supporter of digital assets, runs a Washington-based firm providing financial compliance consulting services to clients. He is expected to continue the pro-crypto regulatory approach initiated by acting chair Mark Uyeda. If the Banking Committee approves the nomination, it will proceed to a confirmation vote by the full Senate, after which the appointee can officially assume office.
