TechFlow news, on March 20, the Sui Overflow 2025 Hackathon officially launched and is currently in the registration and global roadshow phase. With the upcoming mainnet launch of Walrus, Sui's decentralized storage project, programmable storage has become a new highlight of this global Sui hackathon, aiming to encourage developers to build innovative storage solutions and tools based on the Walrus network.
In addition, other hackathon tracks include DeFi, infrastructure and tools, AI, cryptography, Degen, payments, entertainment and culture, cross-chain interoperability, or exploration of emerging use cases.
The competition will offer winning teams substantial prize money, technical support, and potential incubation opportunities. The final winners will be announced at the end of May. For each track, four teams will be selected: the first place will receive a $30,000 reward; second place will receive $15,000; third place will receive $10,000; and fourth place will receive $7,500. Additionally, 10 outstanding university teams will each receive a $2,500 award, and through community voting, the top 10 most popular projects will each receive a $2,500 reward.
