TechFlow news, March 18 — According to market data during U.S. trading hours, the Nasdaq Composite index extended its decline to 2.05%, while the S&P 500 index deepened its fall to 1.3%.
Major tech stocks all declined, with Tesla (TSLA) down 5.33%; Meta Platforms (META) down 4.93%; Google (GOOG) down 3.55%; NVIDIA (NVDA) down 2.56%; Amazon (AMZN) down 2.23%; and Microsoft (MSFT) down 1.57%.
Declines in cryptocurrency-related stocks narrowed. Strategy (MSTR), after announcing a follow-on offering of 5 million preferred shares to increase its Bitcoin holdings, saw its drop narrow from an earlier 6.99% to 2.2%. Coinbase (COIN) fell 4.7%; MARA Holdings (MARA) declined 4%; and Hut 8 Corp. (HUT) dropped 5%.
