TechFlow news — On March 14, according to Ming Pao, a 41-year-old man surnamed Wong in Hong Kong was robbed near Lai Chi Kok Park Sports Centre at around 11 p.m. on March 13, losing HK$318,000 in cash.
It is understood that the man had just completed a cryptocurrency transaction in Sung Wong Toi and received over HK$300,000 in cash before being attacked while returning to his residence in Wah Lai Estate. A suspect wielding a wooden stick struck the victim's left hand, seized a plastic bag containing the cash, and fled toward Ying Fai Terrace. Although injured, the victim refused hospitalization after receiving first aid.
Police have classified the incident as a robbery and are searching for a male suspect approximately 1.75 meters tall, wearing a black long-sleeved top at the time of the incident. Searches in the surrounding area have so far been unsuccessful, and investigations are ongoing.
