TechFlow reported on March 14 that Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) clarified on social media: "I/Binance have no business relationship with WLFI or the individuals mentioned in their article. We also did not purchase any WLFI tokens."
Earlier report, Bloomberg cited sources saying that Trump's crypto project WLFI had discussed collaborating with Binance on developing a stablecoin. In his post, CZ quoted two sentences from the Bloomberg report: "It’s unclear how far those discussions progressed, or whether they will lead to any deal or joint venture," and "Details of meetings with Zhao weren’t clear," criticizing: "They basically admitted the entire article is made up. Is this what 'news' is now?"
