TechFlow news, on March 11, according to Etherscan monitoring, a whale or institutional investor holding 65,000 ETH is approaching liquidation. Recently, this investor withdrew 2,000 ETH (approximately $3.75 million) from Bitfinex and 1.54 million USDT from Binance to replenish collateral and repay part of their loan, reducing the liquidation price from $1,932 to $1,836.
Currently, Ethereum's price is only about $50 above their liquidation threshold. The investor’s ETH collateral was primarily acquired in May 2022 through leveraged loans, with an average cost basis of approximately $2,088. As of now, the investor has incurred losses exceeding $14 million.
