TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the matter, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has secretly filed an application for an initial public offering (IPO) and has hired Goldman Sachs and Citigroup to handle the potential IPO.
The exchange has previously cleared several regulatory hurdles, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) closing its investigation without taking enforcement action, as well as reaching a $5 million settlement with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in January this year.
