TechFlow news, on March 6, according to Jinshi Data citing the U.S. magazine Wired, a source revealed that despite TSMC's additional investment of tens of billions of dollars in the United States, the Trump administration has not ceased considering imposing potential tariffs as high as 100% on TSMC and other Taiwanese chipmakers.
The source added that one proposal would extend taxation not only to Taiwanese chips themselves but also to electronic products such as iPhones containing Taiwanese chips.
