TechFlow news — On March 5, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) responded to a community member's question about whether he holds ETH, stating that he does not hold any meaningful amount of Ethereum. He may only have small quantities left in some old wallets, primarily from when BNB was initially issued as an ERC20 token and ETH was needed to pay gas fees.
CZ further revealed, "I missed the entire ETH train right before my eyes. I met Vitalik at a Bitcoin conference back in 2013. I learned about 'ICO' in 2014. In 2015, Vitalik briefly stayed at my small apartment in Tokyo during his travels. I arrogantly suggested: 'A Turing-complete language on blockchain? Wouldn't that be too difficult?' He replied: 'It can be done.'
That really was a missed opportunity. Then again, if I had invested in ETH that early, perhaps I wouldn’t have been motivated to start Binance or create BNB."
