TechFlow news — BOB (Build on Bitcoin), a hybrid Layer2 project, today announced integration with Fireblocks, a digital asset custody technology provider. This move will offer institutional investors a secure and reliable gateway to participate in BTC DeFi.
By integrating Fireblocks' institutional-grade MPC wallet technology, the BOB network will enable its 2,000+ institutional clients to securely deploy bitcoin assets within the BOB ecosystem. Currently, BOB's testnet TVL has remained stable at around $250 million, with over 330,000 cumulative users and 20 million mainnet transactions completed.
Notably, BOB recently launched a BitVM-powered trust-minimized Bitcoin bridge on its testnet. Combined with this Fireblocks integration, it will provide institutional investors with a more secure and efficient channel to access BTC DeFi. After completion of the integration, institutional users can seamlessly interact with DeFi protocols via Fireblocks’ contract call API, WalletConnect, and browser extensions.
BOB co-founder Alexei Zamyatin stated that this collaboration meets the demand from institutions and major Bitcoin holders for yield generation while ensuring security, laying the foundation for the institutionalization of BTC DeFi.
