TechFlow News, March 1 — Optimum announced the completion of its angel round funding, with investors including the CTO of Polychain, founder of DeFiance Capital, CEO of Bitget, co-founders of Wormhole and Polygon, and managing partner of Jump Crypto—prominent figures in the Web3 space.
Founded by Professor Muriel Médard, NEC Chair of MIT’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Kishori Konwar, and Kent Lin, President of the Harvard Blockchain Association, Optimum leverages MIT's research on Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC) to build the world’s first cross-chain scalability solution—the high-performance memory for the world computer.
Optimum provides L1/L2 blockchains and node operators with high-performance memory infrastructure, including a P2P data communication layer and decentralized memory layer (deRAM), overcoming blockchain scalability bottlenecks by enabling fast data transfer, efficient storage, and real-time access. The funding will accelerate product development and drive infrastructure upgrades across the Web3 ecosystem.
