TechFlow reported on February 27 that Jason Liu, VP of HashKey Global, shared the platform's measures regarding user asset security during a live Space session on HashKey Chain. He emphasized that HashKey Global has always prioritized user asset security as a core mission, safeguarding user funds through a strict compliance framework.
Regarding asset insurance, Jason Liu provided a detailed explanation of the compensation mechanism. For instance, according to Hong Kong regulations for licensed exchanges, exchanges must insure users' assets in both hot and cold wallets, with 100% coverage for hot wallets and 50% coverage for cold wallets. This means that in extreme cases, if losses are below 50% of the platform's assets, the insurance will provide full compensation. Requirements for other regional licenses under its umbrella vary, but all have established insurance mechanisms.
