TechFlow news, on February 26, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin posted that Aya, Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation (EF), will transition to the role of Chairperson. Aya first shared plans for this shift one year ago, and during her seven years as Executive Director she achieved numerous accomplishments.
Vitalik believes the role of an executive director is to create an environment where others can shine. Therefore, every success of the Ethereum Foundation—the steady execution of Ethereum hard forks, client interoperability workshops, Devcon conferences, Ethereum's culture, and its strong commitment to mission and values—was partly due to Aya's leadership.
In her new role, Aya will continue supporting the Foundation in many of the same ways, while the Foundation is developing a new leadership structure and will share more updates soon.
