TechFlow reports, on February 25, Binance responded on X regarding the previous "hacker stealing funds via red envelope" incident: preliminary investigations indicate that the user's device may have been infected with malicious plugins or software, leading to a chain theft of their email, Google Authenticator, and Binance account information. The hacker successfully initiated red envelope payments by simulating the user's commonly used device and IP environment through multi-factor authentication, ultimately resulting in financial loss. Binance strongly recommends the user file a police report regarding this incident.
