TechFlow news, February 25 — Du Jun, founder of ABCDE, posted that in the crypto industry, especially for ventures involving funds, if you haven't experienced a loss of $50 million, you might not have even taken a seat at the table yet. Although $50 million is a substantial amount, it's not particularly remarkable within the crypto space. Looking back at industry history—from Mt. Gox, Luna, PayPal, FTX, to last week's Bybit—every major project has faced losses in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Against such magnitudes, $50 million is merely an entry-level cost of trial and error.
Previously, regarding the Infini hack incident, Du Jun stated, "Losing a small amount of money to gain lessons and strengthen security capabilities is better than losing big later on. If needed, I can provide funding between $5 million and $10 million." Du emphasized that referring to it as "a small amount" isn't meant to downplay the sum, but rather reflects how extreme the barriers to entry and risks are in this industry.
