TechFlow reports on February 24 that, according to Cointelegraph, the Ethereum Pectra upgrade is set to launch on the Holesky testnet today at 21:55 UTC (05:55 AM UTC+8 tomorrow). Developers will use this test to verify new features.
The upgrade primarily focuses on account abstraction, Layer-2 scaling, and validator experience improvements. Notably, EIP-3074 will enhance Ethereum's account abstraction capabilities by enabling externally owned accounts (EOAs) to perform batch transactions and support fee sponsorship.
In addition, post-upgrade block blob capacity will increase by 50%, raising the average number of blobs per block from the current three to six.
