TechFlow reported, citing Ledger Insights, that Thailand's Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira said the government plans to directly issue 5 billion Thai baht (approximately $148 million) in government bonds to the public before the end of the current fiscal year (September 30). The initial issuance will be treated as a sandbox project and can be traded on a digital bond platform, which may be the digital bond trading system currently being prepared by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand.
