TechFlow reports that on February 21, according to the ZK Nation announcement, voting on the ZIP-6 proposal will end at 18:15 UTC on February 27 (02:15 Beijing time on February 28). The vote has already reached quorum. This proposal aims to upgrade the governance contract, with key changes including reducing the ZIP voting delay from 7 days to 3 days, shortening the quorum extension period from 7 days to 2 days, and redeploying all governance contracts.
The Protocol Upgrade Handler contract will be upgraded to a upgradable version to ensure that the Protocol Governor can execute future zkSync development plans. The existing Protocol Upgrade Handler will continue to retain ownership of L2 chain-related addresses.
