TechFlow news, on February 21, according to The Block, Bitcoin staking platform Acre has raised $4 million in strategic funding. Investors include Draper Dragon, Big Brain Holdings, Orange DAO, and undisclosed angel investors from companies such as Lido, EigenLayer, Wormhole, Thesis, and Quantstamp.
Acre is a spin-off project from Thesis, a Bitcoin ecosystem incubation studio, enabling users to earn "compound interest" on Bitcoin through multiple methods including staking rewards. The platform uses the decentralized custody solution tBTC, under which users' deposited Bitcoin is managed via a 51/100 multi-signature controlled by decentralized nodes.
