TechFlow reported on February 20, during a panel discussion on institutional-grade Bitcoin infrastructure at the Event: Bitcoin Tech Carnival 2025, OSL Chief Institutional Business Officer (CIBO) Yinghua Zhang stated that as Bitcoin's market capitalization surpasses $2 trillion, security is no longer a cost factor but a "mandatory ticket" for institutional entry. Currently, institutions and high-net-worth clients place extreme emphasis on security, showing strong preference for holding BTC on compliant exchanges like OSL or investing in BTC ETFs to avoid risks such as wallet loss or asset theft.
Zhang emphasized that OSL has redefined the standard for "institutional-grade security" through a triple-layer defense system—physical segregation of cold and hot wallets, real-time on-chain anomaly monitoring, and SFC-licensed audit assurance—catering to the emerging institutional logic of prioritizing risk avoidance over potential returns, especially to prevent the dangers of holding assets directly on-chain.
