TechFlow reported, according to CoinDesk, bitcoin mining firm MARA Holdings announced on February 18 the completion of its acquisition of a wind farm in Texas. The wind farm has a rated generation capacity of 114 megawatts and an interconnection capacity of 240 megawatts.
MARA plans to use the wind farm to power its bitcoin mining operations, deploying the latest-generation ASIC miners. CEO Fred Thiel stated that following this acquisition, MARA's total power generation capacity reaches 136 megawatts. As of now, MARA holds 45,659 bitcoins.
