TechFlow reported on February 17 that, according to cryptocurrency analyst Julian Fahrer, as of the end of 2024, state pension funds or treasuries in 12 U.S. states held shares in Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), with a total value of approximately $330 million.
The California State Teachers' Retirement System was the largest holder, according to a 13F filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on February 14, holding 285,785 shares valued at around $83 million. Additionally, the fund held 306,215 shares of Coinbase, worth approximately $76 million.
Strategy is currently the world's largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, owning over 470,000 bitcoins, valued at about $46 billion at current prices.
