TechFlow news, February 11 — According to Bitcoin.com News on February 2, the European Union has launched its AI regulatory initiative, focusing on defining AI systems, promoting AI literacy, and banning high-risk AI practices.
Institutions such as the European Artificial Intelligence Board welcomed the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, but some civil society groups argued that the legislation does not adequately protect human rights.
Supporters of innovation expressed concerns that these regulations might stifle growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises and startups. Vladimir Lelicanin, Chief Technology Officer at HAL8, emphasized the need to establish regulatory sandboxes to help companies comply with rules without compromising innovation.
