TechFlow news, February 11 — According to The Information, sources revealed that after Elon Musk suddenly proposed a $97 billion acquisition of OpenAI's assets on Monday, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman sent an internal message to employees stating that the board would clearly express no interest in what he called Musk's "so-called acquisition offer."
Altman emphasized that this acquisition proposal is inconsistent with OpenAI's mission to develop advanced artificial intelligence for the benefit of all humanity. OpenAI's ten-member board supports Altman's position in the dispute with Musk.
Previous report: Musk offered $97.4 billion to seize control of OpenAI; Sam Altman responded: willing to take over Twitter for $9.74 billion.
