TechFlow news, on February 9, according to Fortune, Musk spoke for the first time about the topic of acquiring TikTok at a conference hosted by Germany's Axel Springer. He stated that he has not made any acquisition offer for TikTok, nor does he have related plans. Musk said he personally doesn't use TikTok and added, "I'm not enthusiastic about acquiring TikTok; I usually prefer building companies from scratch."
Earlier reports suggested that Chinese officials were evaluating the possibility of Musk acquiring TikTok's U.S. operations, with Musk's X platform potentially taking over TikTok's U.S. business if TikTok failed to successfully address the ban.
