TechFlow news, February 7 — According to the National Public Radio (NPR) of the United States, a staff member of Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Marko Elez, has resigned after his past racist social media posts were exposed.
The 25-year-old former employee of X and SpaceX had been working at the U.S. Department of the Treasury on cost-cutting and anti-fraud initiatives. He was one of two DOGE interim appointees granted access to the Treasury’s highly sensitive payment systems. A White House official who is not authorized to speak publicly has confirmed the resignation.
