TechFlow news, according to CoinDesk, two companies in the crypto data storage space, Textile and 3Box Labs, have announced an all-stock merger agreement. The merged company will retain the Textile brand and be led by current CEO Andrew Hill. Both companies previously received investments from institutions including USV, CoinFund, and Multicoin, raising over $42 million in total.
Michael Sena, co-founder of 3Box Labs, said that the two companies had overlapping products before, and will now jointly build blockchain data infrastructure. The new company plans to create an "intelligent layer for the multi-agent economy," providing AI agents with data storage, access, and verification services. Hill emphasized that blockchains offer a natural platform for AI agent operations, enabling data interoperability and alpha trading among agents.
