TechFlow news, on February 3, according to official announcements, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has successfully obtained a Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) license in the European Union through acquiring a Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC)-authorized investment firm.
Shannon Kurtas, Co-General Manager of Kraken Pro & Exchange, stated that the European market is a key strategic focus, and this acquisition reflects the company's confidence in the EU market. The license will enable Kraken to offer regulated crypto derivatives services to professional traders in the EU, supporting multiple collateral currencies.
