TechFlow reported on February 1, according to BeInCrypto, that a Turkish court has overturned the guilty verdicts against 16 Thodex defendants on charges of serious fraud, though only four were fully acquitted. Thodex founder Faruk Fatih Özer, along with his sister Serap Özer and brother Güven Özer, still face a combined sentence of 11,196 years in prison on additional charges including aggravated fraud and money laundering. Currently, the Özer siblings' legal team is seeking a retrial, arguing that media narratives contributed to their unprecedented sentencing.
