TechFlow news, on January 31, a lawsuit against YouTuber duo Nelk Boys was filed in a California federal court, according to Cointelegraph.
Plaintiff Trenton Smith alleges that Kyle Forgeard, John Shahidi, and their associated entertainment company failed to deliver promised benefits from their Metacard NFT project.
The alleged benefits offered by Nelk Boys included discounts on their branded merchandise, access to events featuring rapper Snoop Dogg, and a $250,000 giveaway to NFT holders.
The project reportedly minted 10,000 NFTs in January 2022, each priced at $2,300. The collection sold out within minutes, generating total sales of $23 million.
