TechFlow news, according to ChainWire, crypto application Venga announced it has submitted a pre-application for a MiCA license to Spain's national regulatory authority CNMV, aiming to secure approval before the December 2025 deadline.
The company has already obtained VASP registration in Spain and Poland. Venga CEO Michael Stroev said that securing a MiCA license will enable the company to expand its services across the European Union.
The MiCA regulation will take effect on December 31, 2024, providing a unified regulatory framework for the EU cryptocurrency industry, with existing CASPs allowed to continue operating during a transition period until December 31, 2025.
