TechFlow reports, on January 22, according to Jinshi News, U.S. President Trump announced at the White House on the 21st that Japan's SoftBank Group, OpenAI, and American company Oracle will jointly invest $500 billion to build infrastructure in the United States to support artificial intelligence (AI) development.
Trump stated at the White House that these three companies have teamed up to launch a project named "Stargate," planning to construct data centers across the U.S. to advance AI development. He described it as the "largest" AI infrastructure investment in history.
According to U.S. media reports, the project will start with an initial investment of $100 billion, scaling up to $500 billion over the next four years. The first data center will be built in Texas, with subsequent expansion to other states.
