TechFlow reports, on January 21, in response to community discussions about ETH holders participating in Ethereum Foundation (EF) governance, Vitalik Buterin posted on X expressing support for creating an anonymous voting tool similar to "anoncast" for ETH holders.
This tool would use zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) to verify the amount of ETH a user holds and determine their speaking frequency accordingly. Specifically, a user holding N ETH could post a message every (120 million / N) seconds. Vitalik suggested implementing this mechanism on decentralized social platforms such as Farcaster or Lens Protocol to ensure the process is intermediary-free and fully trustless.
