TechFlow news — On January 15, according to the Hong Kong Economic Times, CLSA has released its Feng Shui forecast for the Year of the Wood Snake in 2025, predicting a "serpentine" market trend throughout the year. The report indicates favorable market performance in spring and winter, while the long summer may see a downturn, with the overall year potentially ending in a slight decline. The Hang Seng Index might move sideways in June, achieve its best monthly performance of the Snake year in December, and experience a sharp rally in January next year due to the zodiac clash between Rat and Snake.
From a Five Elements perspective, Wood element dominates, making industries such as textiles, painting mounting, and art galleries promising sectors to invest in. Water ranks second, with shipping, trade, film, and brokerage agencies expected to remain strong, especially during summer and winter. Fire-related industries will benefit from abundant Wood energy, favoring prospects in oil and gas, hairdressing, and business consulting. Earth-element industries are generally stable, with opportunities emerging at the beginning and end of the year, particularly in antiques, cultural collectibles, consulting, and legal services. Metal-element industries appear relatively weak, with watchmaking and aluminum window manufacturing likely to show lackluster performance.
