TechFlow news, January 15 — According to The Information, citing two sources, TikTok has prepared for a potential shutdown of its U.S. user services on Sunday, as a ban imposed by the U.S. government is set to take effect that day unless the U.S. Supreme Court intervenes to block it.
The sources revealed that under the plan, when users attempt to open the TikTok app, they will see a pop-up message directing them to a website with information about the ban. Meanwhile, TikTok intends to offer users the option to download their personal data, allowing them to retain records of their personal information.
