TechFlow news, January 13 — According to Jinshi News, U.S. stock markets opened lower today, with the Nasdaq Composite down 1.35%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.13%, and the S&P 500 down 0.83%. The AI chip sector declined across the board: Nvidia dropped over 4%, TSMC nearly 4%, Broadcom more than 2%, and Qualcomm 1.4%. Among cryptocurrency-related stocks, MicroStrategy fell 6.18% and Coinbase dropped 6.24%.
Earlier, The Information reported that Nvidia's latest-generation Blackwell AI chips have encountered overheating and connectivity issues, causing major customers including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Meta to reduce their orders for GB200 racks.
