TechFlow reports, on January 13, Abyss Team founder Zengge tweeted that cybersecurity company Cyberhaven suffered a phishing email attack, resulting in its browser extension being implanted with malicious code designed to read and upload users' browser cookies and passwords.
He added that subsequent code analysis revealed multiple browser extensions were compromised, including Proxy SwitchyOmega (V3). These extensions affected 500,000 users on the Google Store and are now under scrutiny.
