TechFlow news — On January 9, eric.eth, co-author of EIP-1559, shared on X that the Biden administration’s Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has issued a subpoena to Coinbase in connection with the Polymarket case, demanding information about certain customers. In an email sent to affected users, Coinbase stated: “You do not need to take any action, but Coinbase may be required to send information related to your account to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission pursuant to the subpoena, unless Coinbase formally receives a motion to quash the subpoena or other legal documents preventing such disclosure by the end of business on January 15, 2025.”
