TechFlow reported on January 8, citing Decrypt and Finnish public broadcaster Yle, that Finnish police seized 20 luxury watches worth approximately $2.6 million from a residence in Espoo, belonging to Hex founder Richard Schueler (also known as Richard Heart). Most of the watches were Rolex models.
According to investigation lead Harri Saaristola, some of the watches were purchased in Finland and others in the United States. Previously, Interpol issued a red notice for Schueler over allegations of tax evasion and violent assault on a minor. The SEC has also accused him of illegally raising over $1 billion through unregistered securities including Hex, PulseChain, and PulseX, and misappropriating $12 million to purchase luxury goods.
