TechFlow news, January 5 — Jon Kol, core contributor of Hyperlane, tweeted expressing his dislike for comparing message transport protocols to TCP/IP. He said that what makes blockchains interesting is not their ability to transmit data packets, but their capacity to handle value transfer. Instead of drawing analogies to TCP, we should view them as open and decentralized versions of Visa, with each chain acting as a merchant.
He also stated that Hyperlane is an open framework built for the future of information and value transmission, and it will not become the TCP/IP of blockchains.
