At 7:11 a.m. local time, the agency began entering the presidential residence to carry out the arrest operation.
Previous report: On December 31, 2024, the Seoul Western District Court issued an arrest warrant for suspended President Yoon Suk-yeol on suspicion of instigating insurrection and abuse of power. This marks the first time in South Korean constitutional history that an arrest warrant has been issued for a sitting president. The warrant is valid until January 6.
