TechFlow reports, on December 31, according to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency wallet provider Tangem has come under user criticism for collecting users' recovery phrases due to a vulnerability in its application. The company confirmed the issue on December 30, stating that the flaw stemmed from an error in app log processing, which led to users' private keys being recorded and potentially accessible by support teams.
Although Tangem promptly fixed the issue and deleted all related logs, users have expressed dissatisfaction with the company's response, viewing it as inadequate. Tangem stated that the vulnerability affected only a small number of users, and it has proactively contacted those impacted. All users are advised to immediately update the application to prevent potential exposure of their recovery phrases.
