TechFlow news, December 30 — According to South Korean media News1, Woori Bank has signed a strategic cooperation agreement (MOU) with virtual asset custody company BDACS to develop new business in the digital asset sector. This collaboration aims to leverage both parties' expertise and resources to identify blockchain-based business opportunities and maximize synergies.
The two parties plan to advance the following initiatives:
- Jointly explore business opportunities within the digital asset market;
- Share experience and knowledge in blockchain technology;
- Collaborate on business development in the virtual asset custody market.
In addition, Woori Bank has acquired equity in BDACS, although the specific shareholding percentage and investment amount have not been disclosed. The head of Woori Bank's Digital Strategy Group stated that through this partnership with BDACS, the bank will explore possibilities for creating new financial services in the digital asset market and remain committed to delivering customer-centric innovative services.
