TechFlow reported on December 24 that, according to The Block, Uniswap Labs has partnered with web3 security firm Blockaid to develop a new on-chain detection and response system designed to protect DEX users from malicious token attacks. Blockaid's tool will issue alerts when users interact with tokens flagged as potentially harmful.
The tool will be rolled out across Uniswap’s web, mobile, and self-custody wallet extensions. It combines static (e.g., comparing contract source code against known malware) and dynamic (e.g., detecting contracts using virtual environments) validation heuristics, along with various machine learning capabilities, to help verify token legitimacy.
