TechFlow news — On December 23, according to Cointelegraph, Nokia has filed a patent application titled "Device, Method, and Computer Program" with China's National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), related to digital asset encryption technology. The patent document reveals that the technology includes a digital asset encryption component and a digital asset indexing system for encryption, suggesting that Nokia may be developing dedicated hardware devices for digital asset encryption.
Notably, this is not the first time Nokia has ventured into blockchain. In 2021, the company launched Nokia Data Marketplace, a permissioned blockchain-based enterprise data infrastructure service supporting data trading and analytics. In 2023, Nokia also utilized metaverse technology to develop a miniature brewery project based on 5G networks, enabling cross-border collaborative brewing through augmented reality (AR) technology.
