TechFlow News — On December 18, according to CoinDesk, Bitcoin lightning network payment platform ZBD (formerly Zebedee) announced it has received approval from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and will be granted a license when the EU's MiCA regulations officially take effect on December 30. This license will allow ZBD to provide cryptocurrency custodial and trading services across the European Union. ZBD submitted its application in April this year, becoming one of the first companies to be approved. Countries including the Netherlands are now ready for MiCA implementation, while other EU member states continue advancing their related legislative processes. The list of approved firms will be published on the AFM's official website after MiCA takes effect.
